Since 2006 Green Man Says Go have been developing their energetic Dance-Punk sound, performing with bands such as Metronomy, Filthy Dukes and Late Of The Pier. Coming from different towns in Yorkshire, Alex, Josh and Matt have been adopted by Sheffield and have kept the City as their musical centre since starting University in London and Newcastle.
So far GMSG have performed across the country with many inspiring bands and people. They’ve released a Limited Edition Single, Las Vegas/Dancefloor. They were featured as Steve Lamacq’s Unsigned band of the week on his 6music show. Have been recorded by Sheffields hidden treasure, Alan Smyth and reached the final 9 of the Artrocker/JD set unsigned 2009.
LIVE REVIEWS
"Green Man Says Go are a trio that don't look far from school boys but their music instantly counts beyond their years. As the lanky figures tower across the stage the group simply ooze energy steering towards dark basslines and rhythmic beats... the trio are a refreshing edge."
the-fly.co.uk
"Green Man Says Go certainly have something which is eminently marketable - but more importantly, on this evidence, it's also something really rather good in its own right."
sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk
"Green Man Says Go prove that a diminishing crowd and faulty equipment won’t stop the indie-synth-discoers from surprising the South."
Loud & Quiet Magazine

"Jittering Indie-disco of monolithic proportions with a fine Pixies-like edge…"

"They sound rather like Arctic Monkeys' jilted ex-lover and Shy Child's new one night stand. Additional songs 'Shout Out' and 'Hide Seek' show great promise."

"Las Vegas/Dancefloor, is as agreeably up-tempo as Bloc Party or Franz Ferdinand used to be"
