Hache st. was born and raised in the city of Santiago de Los Caballeros, located in the northern region of the Dominican Republic, also called “El Cibao”. He reflects the unknown side of Dominican Hip Hop. A well delivered mix of intelligent rhymes, profound criticism of the governmental systems and a bit of Philosophy make..s him a one of a kind emcee.
Hip Hop music came to Hache st under the influence of a friend. Tapes and VHS with footages of Epmd, A tribed called quest, Rakim, and LL cool J started his passion and interest for this movement.
However, it wasn’t until he listened to Jeru The Damaja when he first started writing his own songs and became an Mc. From that moment, He started reading Literature and philosophy in conjunction with Rap music, but with the fear of recording any of his songs. He kept writing until he got together with a friend, also an Mc called Arianna Puello. She gave him the opportunity to be in one of her CDs in 2001. It was the first time he was in front of a mic. That experience made him change his room into a studio and experimented with the creation of some of his songs.
With the passing of the time and collaborations with Andino (Ecuador), Souchi (Spain) and Loud and Flava (Dominican Republic), it made possible the recording of the album called “Filosofia Caribeña”; a classic in the Underground Hip Hop area.
His next step was the foundation of the group called “Espadasofia” along with Sheng, Ruben and Willproducer. It became one of the most respected groups in Latin America. By the time he came to live to New York, this group had faced lots of difficulties. However, they were making random works such as “Nada es como antes” (2004) which remained number 1 on the ranking in download.com. Again, due to difficulties, they were unable to finish their album.
He got apart from the musical scene for a while, but he kept communicating, recording songs with Willproducer. The result was the album called “Botando el Golpe” (2006). Hache st has been working with many of the greatest representatives of the Latin Hip hop scene such as Bocafloja (Mexico), Yallzee (Puerto Rico), Arianna Puello (Spain, Dom Rep), and Cookee (Puerto Rico).
Hache st..s work has been recognized by people all over the continent. He has represented his country on many events such as the 4th International alliance of Hip Hop in Caracas, Venezuela in 2008. It is considered one of the most important events of Latin Hip Hop.
Hache st is currently living in Staten Island (New York City)He and Willproducer are working on their new album called “Efecto Cibaeño” with huge expectations to be released this summer.
