HACKSAW TO THE THROAT is a band from the San Francisco bay area that is based on the idea of constant change. The band started as a 2-man grindcore assault, which soon evolved into a 4-man death metal band, transforming into the not so easily classified band they are today. Their influences range from Neurosis, Pig Destroyer, Cryptopsy, and Converge to Taiko, Radiohead, Majority Rule, Ludicra, and Godspeed You Black Emperor.
Hacksaw's debut album Tear My Eyes Out.... was recorded in 2003 and self-distributed until late 2005 when it was officially put out and distributed internationally by Flood The Earth Records and Cursed Productions.
The band has worked hard to promote themselves by playing lots of shows in the bay area, and traveling up and down the west coast as much as possible.
Hacksaw to the Throat have now recorded a second full length album titled Wastelands which is a major departure from anything the band has ever released. Wastelands (Doomed by Dawn records, 2007) AVAILABLE NOW

MAKE MORE MUSIC!!! you guys are amazing, and i can't stop listening to wastelands. mainly because my parents threw out tear my eyes out, and you can't believe how pissed i am.
i REALLY wish i could've been to your last show, and it was an honor to meet you justin. wish i could've met you all.
anybody doing any other projects i would want to know about?
im living in cancun at the moment i just have a question if i wanted to buy some clothes could you guys send it to cancun?? and if so how much would it be?
what an amazing band you guys were...i cant stop listening to wastelands..incredible..please reform and come to new york..!!! i cant believe we only just found out about you now..
yeah, ive heard majority rule, along with neil perry, saetia, jeromes dream, and the whole 90's screamo crew. its really a shame that a style of music with that level of emotiveness that manages to not sound whiny is almost gone now
i listened to Wastelands for the millionth time the other day, and i just felt compelled to say to you guys, you were fucking amazing. i don't know a single modern death metal band that can compare with the musical complexity and variety of sounds that were in your music. i'm sure that listening to you guys has had an influence in my songwriting, and its also awesome to see another metal band that draws influences from places as unlikely as pg99 and city of caterpillar. while i realise this got a tad rambly, i guess my main point is thank you guys for making such amazing music and i'm sorry i never got to see you guys live. cheers
thanks fore the add guys i wish you never broke up you guys were incredible i think you guys could have been huge in the metal community! you are missed severely!
