"I came back from the dead just to see HappyAss play at the Dukum Upp in Kirksville. Fug, man, kosmic-punk electric kazoo goddesses! Devon Mills has the lead singer strut down like Iggy Pop on estrogen. Someone spank these girls and turn them loose on the world. Hallelujah! I am resurrected!"
Hailing from Vancouver, B.C. Canada, The Pack A. D. is currently on their Deathstar tour. Kirksville is lucky to be a stop on this extensive tour of the states. The Pack A.D. will be bringing their "loud, edgy and unforgiving...blunt, no bullshit approach" to the first show at the Journal Printing Co. Basement-- a night of blues/rock that will not disappoint!
Tuesday, July 8th at the Journal Printing Building. Show starts at 8:00 | $4 cover.

First off, FLCL stands for “Fooly Cooly” - but in Japanese it’s called “Furi Kuri” because there is no L or C sounds. “Furi Kuri” has been translated in many different ways, the most common interpreted meaning is “fondling a woman’s breasts”. Throughout the series the term “Fooly Cooly” is used as an expression for having sex. The mysterious title of the series could also be interpreted as a metaphor for the confusing and unknown territory of sex from adolescence point of view. “Fooly Cooly” could also be referring to how Naota attempts to act cool and mature, only making things more awkward.
