About me:
The Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath has been the place to see many an up and coming band. From UB40's first ever gig in 1979 to more recently NME faves The Twang and Editors. As well as a stint from Frank Skinner, the pub has long since been a favourite on the Birmingham gig scene.
May 2006 saw the re-opening of the Hare & Hounds after considerable investment to restore the original features, throw in some retro furniture and add a £40,000 all singing sound system.
There are currently two spacious bars downstairs and two live venues upstairs with a modest capacity totalling 350. Bands, DJ's and artists continue to grace the stage at the Hare & Hounds showcasing up and coming talent and as well as bigger names from across the UK.
