But when a mad dog margarita's become all that is keeping You on your feet in this town, that and the spider stool propping Before the cider sets in, and you make for the border -- Don't forget what you've stayed for; there's someone to play for We know you're writer of the highest order So don't start stopping. Love, Swan Quarter
Well for the first couple tweets you say that Austin looks nice There ain't no snow on the streets, just bits of frosting and rice Like it's a party all day. And strangers smile through the haze...but When summer beats a retreat, they lick their lips like you're glazed It seems when you're new in town, you're the fall cuisine -- They're gonna turn the taco down.
Now that they're restless and cold, their limbs are starting to twitch You say if someone gets bold, well they are gonna get bitch-slapped ...And the winter was harder than a nail in coffin (You couldn't sprint very far, and spring don't come here that often) All the spasms and the spurts, all the feelers and the fits Would make Hotel California sound a lot like the Ritz You say that seething is growth, you say beheading's a sign But what a fucking strange fruit the trees have borne you this Time to go, or play a show? You're got that glow -- you're still alive on two legs and breathing...
Which is more than can be said for some players in these parts All of the legends are dead, or have forgotten their art And some are Spoon and lucked out, and now they're always on tour And Daniel Johnston ducked out -- he doesn't live here anymore. Perhaps you've had a lapse, you might admit, yelling, "Fuck this shit," and just turn the taco down.

Hey guys, How are things going? The new recordings sound terrific. We're in Austin now playing Mobley not Mowgli (huge change, right?). Anyway, I really enjoyed listening to the music and wanted to let you guys know. Take it easy, Anthony
Harmute at Carrboro Music Festival was rippin great, guys!
You gotta' know: I'm not a big fan of covers as a rule. But we say "rules are made to be broken", right? So I've got to say I'm glad I missed MY FAVORITE COVER OF THE YEAR: Harmute, doing Chelsea Hotel. Reason? There is no way you could have possibly surpassed the recording Dayn has up on Jack Sprat Cafe's site, recorded live on premises, mid show. [..chuckles with incredulity..] That is AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING.
If some of you reading this page haven't heard it, go to http://www. myspace. com/jackspratcafeandbar , first song on the player currently. -Quick!, before Dayn rotates it out!!! AMAZING. [..camera fades out as she's shaking her head in disbelief, still chuckling as she listens in another window. ..]
