About me: I make pictures. I am tempted to say "pretty pictures" but often they are unsettling enough to not be pretty. And sometimes I put a bunch of them in a row, and they become a comic.
Most recently this was the case with the series Screamland, written by Harold Sipe and illustrated by me. Image comics. Good times.
And when I am not doing THAT, I am making stand alone illustrations for magazines, album covers, posters, etc. which is how I pay the rent. And THEN sometimes I make pictures just for the sheer childlike glee of making some messed up beautiful thing, and those never pay the rent, so I hang them on a wall for a while or I give them to friends. If that made y'all curious, you can see a few of all of the above here:hectorcasanova.net
Who I'd like to meet: art directors, publishers, other artists, comics artists, illustrators, musicians, and anyone interested in breaking a few rules, making something awesome, and changing the way things are done in the world.
Please note: I will generally accept friend requests, as long as it's not from spam or porn profiles. Gratuitous graphics comments will be summarily deleted. Post no bills.
Really enjoyed this last Screamland. And the cover of the next one looks amazing (who can resist Dracula?) Yes, I think I need that in poster form. ... Anyway, finally read the Lurkers, too. My god that was good. See ya.
