My name is Z. and I run a small nerd music and culture weblog called Hipster, please! The primary focus of my blogging is the ever-growing spectrum of nerdy music and the talented, dedicated individuals who produce it. A particular passion of mine is nerdcore hip-hop, and I’ve been fortunate enough to interview such major players as MC Frontalot, mc chris, Baddd Spellah, and Beefy.
In addition to the blog, I also produce a bi-weekly podcast called Radio Free Hipster. Each edition of RFH features not only nerdcore hip-hop, but also geek rock, game rock, chiptunes, Wizard rock, nerdy mash-ups and electronica, cheesy television theme songs and movie clips, and a few gems from rock ‘n’ roll’s bespectacled past.
In my spare time I am an unassuming husband and father living in the rural south. I’m simply a thirty-something nerd just trying to get by.
Who I'd like to meet: Paul Simonon, Stumblebee, John Updike, Chynna Clugston, Grimace

What Wii games do you have? I've been dying to play somebody in Mario Kart. And as for the songs, I'm sure I can work something out. Did you ever get a copy of Wheelo?
Hey Z, have you ever heard of Ronald Jenkees? While he doesn't overtly call himself nerdcore, and he doesn't really have much to do with video game music or anything like that, you can tell he carries a sort of nerdcore spirit in his approach to making music. Give this video a peek. Just thought you might be interested.
