THE HITMEN 3 are/were from Hellsinki/Finland and did split up in the middle/end of the 90s...
They released some fine records on STUPIDO RECORDS..
On one of them TT G(eigen)schrey played (and sang) along with his electrical violince..
The record TT played/sang on is called "Bubbling under"
TT sang backing vocals on FINAL IRONY.
THE STORY GOES LIKE THIS:
One day TT decided to go on holiday to the island TEXEL (at the top of Holland), cause he loves islands (like the ISLAND Newzealand, INSEL DER JUGEND/Berlin, where he worked as atalentscout an Booker and promoter for several band from 1990 to 1995);INSEL STRALAU;the PFAUENINSEL(Peacock island) in berlin, where you often can find him.
As he found out, his friends HITMEN 3 were in the studio in Amsterdam, recording their record "Bubbling Under", and they invited him to play on it, if he manages to come along in time..
He did and jumped in for the final sessions - raw , without practice, in one take - and played his manic violin on 3 Punkrock pieces..
On some of them he was allowed to use the famous LESLEY BOX distortion propeller effect, Jon Lord by DEEP Purple used on teh famous old DEEP PURPLE Records...and live..It sounded gorgeous and he fiddled and roared and stroke his way to the recordings of three spontaneous recorded violintracks for the songs:
REAL DEEP COOL; FINAL IRONY and AROUND (the sad melody at the end of AROUND)
Then Jirkii(HITMEN 3 singer and supervisor of the final mixing and instrumental inputs) asked him to substitute him or help out for one last tune: FINAL IRONY, cause he nearly had lost his shouting/singing voice in the days of recording. TThomthom tried with a lyric sheet in hands to manage the loudness and strehgth of a punkrock shouter intensity for this song.
He tried and suffered and laughed:
Its totally difficult and hard work to shout as loud and sing as loud as apunkrock singer like Jirkii- in short: TT was to much too silent and didnt manage the needed input level, as strong as he tried to scream and shout..he failed.... a mysterium, as he is called the GEIGENSCHREY (>Gschrei or Gschrey means >SCREAM in german).
FUNNY FACT No.1: So Jirkii took over the Mikro again and they did it TOGETHER, the old hippie spirit had risen again. TT and Jirkii spit together into the mikrofon as they were Motörheads legacy, and what a wonder: BOTH TOGETHER were strong enough to keep teh level.. So TThomthom as the backbone of Jirkiis shattered Voice worked out,both summed up evoke a strong presence.
FUNNY FACT No.2: Because TT was new to this and cause it was very spontaneous, TT was a little behind in tempo, so TT is now to be heared as a kind of ECHO to Jirki, if you listen closely you can hear his voice(like the duck in the wolfs stomache in: " Peter & the Wolf ")
as the little echo behind...FUNNY but thats PUNKROCK..
HITMEN 3 in studio and live too, were a good vital melodious punkrockband with intelligence....guts and brains, like Wire in their beginning or The damned or buzzcocks

Way melodic pop-punk from four Fab Finns. Their songs deal with humanity, issues of technology and the information age and trying to keep a grip on the world, or something like that. You can wade through lyrics about deconstruction and reconstruction, narrative analysis and the like, or you can just listen to the sugary hooks helping this medicine go down. Either way, it's hella cool.
