Hofer66 began DJing in the early 90s after living the true beginning of house music in Ibiza in 1989 with the performance of Adamski in Amnesia.
After this unique experience he started to buy records and play in clubs on the island and abroad. Today he is not only DJing, he became a producer as well, some first trax are already finished and he is currently busy in producing more...
He is as well the editor of dub magazine in Ibiza, so he is giving back the people what they gave to him - his spirit and love for this music.
He is booked all over the world without playing too much clubs in summer, as he is busy with the mag. But the few dates he chooses are well worth a visit! So look for his name on flyers and posters wherever you are, and get his unique mix of house in all its colours, as long as it is sexy and grooooovy, flavoured with this Balearic touch everybody is seeking for.
In 2005 he started doing a partyseries called SENSE - everything that makes sense (myspace.com/sense_ibiza) in one of the most authentic places in ibiza, the GRIAL, in order to create a perfect party, together with Mayte, his ex-girlfriend and best PR in Ibiza. The secret behind the success of SENSE is the atmosphere, people come to listen and dance, no spectators, only actors! The guest DJs are mainly from Ibiza as there is a whole bunch of extraordinary talents, and the ones coming from outside are booked because of their musical skills, not their names. This politics is based on the concept 'less ego more music' (great idea, Giorgio!) as this is what its really about...
Last winterseason Sense changed from the Grial to a new venue called 'Somni', a beautiful club in its true sense (yess) for about 400 people in Figueretas, in the Hotel Ibiza Playa at the Paseo Maritimo. After being 3 Winters in the fantastic Grial Sense made a change to this new venue for the winterseason 2008/09, and lets see where the home for this winter's Sense will be - stay tuned for more info!
In 2009 he started a new project called DUBSPIRIT together with Stephen Russell - THE BAREFOOTDOCTOR, Mike Von Hash and VJ DZ Graphix. Dubspirit - forward vanguard flame of the flow-with-slow fire now spreading with steadily contained wildness throughout the known world.
Barefoot Doctor enlightenment-raps, dubstepping minimal-melodic with Hofer66 on decks and Mike Von Hash on loops and effects - wink a third eye, open a heart, swivel a hip and touch heaven.
Dubspirit is a collaboration between Barefoot Doctor, metaphysician-musician, acclaimed international DJ Hofer66 and eminent musicologist-producer Mike Von Hash. To complete the picture we will take VJ DZ Graphix to some of our gigs to give you as well the visual impact. But what is dubspirit?
It combines the very latest dub and dubstep beats, with over-the-edge loop and voice technology to melodize Barefoot Doctor's shamanistic-style guided meditation-as-you-dance, in which audiences are led on the deepest inner journey in the most sensually enjoyable way, touching the Tao while having fun.
This is where the inner temple truly meets and harmonizes with the inner nightclub. The results are a natural high that lasts all week.

He started working in a pirate radiostation in Freiburg/Germany in 1994 (Radio Dreieckland) and is fascinated by this media ever since those days.
