The House of Homosexual Culture produces events which celebrate and explore gay history and culture. We are resident at the Southbank Centre in London, but we occasionally dip a toe elsewhere. Our events are fun, friendly, informative, serious, frivolous and always very entertaining. See below for our current calendar, and browse through the old blogs (above) to see what we've done in the past. Join us for the renewal of gay cultural ambition.
July sees our most ambitious programme yet: four events at the London Literature Festival, all over the Southbank Centre in London. Details www.southbankcentre.co.uk
3 July: JAKE ARNOTT talks about his new novel THE DEVIL'S PAINTBRUSH.
9 July: LOVE AND MARRIAGE celebrates romance in queer novels with Paul Burston, Marion Husband and more.
11 July: A BIT OF VERBAL celebrates the word, spoken, rhymed, rapped, sung and shrieked. With David Hoyle, Ste McCabe, Q-Boy, VG Lee, Jacqui Appleby and Gerry Potter.
16 July: STONEWALL 40 explores the legacy of the Stonewall Riots with Jeffrey Weeks, Peter Tatchell, Lindsay River, Rikki Beadle Blair and Michael Twaits.
