Ian and Sarah Morris experimented with many different musical styles and influences until finding their own meld of folk, acoustic, and world music. The eclelctic songs are formed by instruments from around the world like the yue-qin (or moon lute), violin, cello, piano, and guitar and occasionally spiced by vocals here and there. Ian and Sarah use their gifts to inspire those in their community as they perform regularly at benefits for non-profit organizations, play for the mentally and physically challenged, host music camps for all ages, and share music and art with at-risk youth.
Ian and Sarah dabble in all forms of artistic expression. Both are visual artists and have sold over 500 prints and orginals combined. The artwork for their most recent CD "I Think Its About You" was designed by Sarah. Ian is also a poet and is currently compiling a book of his poems and mixed media paintings.
In 2006, they founded a non-profit organization in their hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina called Homemade Genius. Under this umbrella, they host art and music festivals throughout the community, perform and demonstrate at public and private schools, teach music lessons, and teach music and art camps. They are especially dedicated to presenting their unique instruments and music to children.
Ian and Sarah also write songs and perform with their indie/folk/pop band Y/our Sparkle Heart, also based in Greenwood, with their friends Caleb and Jonathan.

I am currently working on a book called THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS: Stories of kindness that changed people's lives. The book is a compilation of stories from people of all kinds--professionals, musicians, teachers, janitors, grocery store checkout clerks, housewives, friends, strangers, nurses, students, men, women, gay, straight, cooks, business people, waiters, gardeners, ...anyone with a story of how the kindness of a stranger made a difference in their life. EVERYONE IS WELCOME. I thank you for your time and consideration. You can go to the MySpace book site to read more or to submit your story www.myspace.com/kindnessconnection
