IKARII BIO

Ikarii (e-car-ee) is a four piece pop/rock outfit based on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. The boys have been active since their beginning in early 2007, releasing their debut concept E.P 'Crash Burn Hold Tight', with ‘Operate’ gaining airplay on Triple J, as well as playing numerous shows around the country and supporting acts such as Trial Kennedy, Shihad, The Getaway Plan, Grinspoon, Evermore, Behind Crimson Eyes, Angelas Dish, The Galvatrons, The Beautiful Girls, Gyroscope, Children Collide, Stealing O’neal, Calling All Cars, Brittle, Closure In Moscow and more. 2009 consisted of touring the east coast of Australia and writing for the band's second EP 'Fancy Names For Messed Up People'. Now nearing the end of a lengthy recording process the eager ensemble are ready to get back on the road and showcase their new material to curious ears. Including guilty pleasure songs such as ‘Hangin' On A Wire', offering clear-cut sing-alongs coupled with punchy guitar work and tight beats, Ikarii's upcoming release is sure to turn heads!
