I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist from northern Germany. In 2003, I moved to Rotterdam to study music at the Dutch university for the arts, Codarts. While pursuing my masters degree in music, I performed with a variety of musicians, including but not limited to, the riff-rock band "Cropduster", the Dutch folk duo "the almosts", and David Bowie's pianist, Mike Garson.
In early 2008, I released my self-produced debut album "For the Love of Sound", which combines both mellow acoustic and up-tempo guitar pop. My music caught the attention of famed European DJ and producer, "DJ Shah", who then collaborated with me to produce a trance version of "Don't Wake Me Up". The song quickly entered the Dutch music charts and received further popularity from the music video released on MTV/TMF.
In search of new opportunities and musical diversity, I moved to New York in the summer of 2008. I am currently writing and performing with LA artist "80 Bug" and am the lead guitarist for the soul-rock band "Bazaar Royale". I also recently played guitar for the Atlantic Records artist "Bayje" on her promo-tour. In addition to having appeared in various venues across the country as a solo artist, I recently played with "Bazaar Royale" at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Another collaboration with DJ Shah is also anticipated in the near future.
I feel that my true voice and passion is that of a songwriter and solo artist.
I love to be on stage and perform my songs. For my next record I am eager to team
up with a producer to help me achieve the sound I hear in my head, and turn my
vision into music.
So great to hear from you and I'm sorry I've been so out of touch...this last year was crazy and I was busy writing finals and performing. Finally had my commencement ceremonies the other night so I'm officially graduated from high school and on to Berklee College in Sept. So Amsterdam, huh? For good or just for the summer?
