Founded in 1999, the band issues in the beginnings of 2001 -after a short break due to the military services of some band members and changes in the line up- the first demo recording "The concept of a self conflict". This release includes the first four songs ever composed by the band exploring the metal/hardcore sound and gets positive reviews from the local press (Metal Hammer, web/fanzines). The feedback from the audience was very encouraging, receiving many mails from the whole of Greece. Through correspondence Innermost became acquainted with local bands of the same scene like Sun Of Nothing, Konkave, Straighthate, Stagnate, which resulted to the co-organizing of many mini-festivals with an amazing response from an ever-growing audience. Together with these bands, Innermost brought a breath of fresh air in the Greek extreme scene combining a variety of styles which for the first time were part of the same totality, indication of a new mentality which is dominant in the scene and is particularly true for Innermost who has an open-minded approach and is keen to experimentation.
At the same time the band started composing new material while appearing as a support act in the concerts of Keelhaul, Stampin'Ground, Heaven Shall Burn and Rotting Christ which brings us to May 2003 when the recordings of the "Menschenkenntnis" cd started. This cd finds the band ever more mature and technical achieving the creation of a particular atmosphere in brand new six tracks- combining their death/noise core background with death metal blast beats, black metal feeling, dark painful melodies and ripping vokillz. Furthermore the concept of "Menschenkenntnis" is completed with the lyrics of Lambros and the packaging/artwork of Daniel, which shares the same views on aesthetics.
Innermost are currently working on brand new tracks, with the help of Markos from Konkave on drums and can't wait to represent their new aspect in music to all those who supported them from the early beginning.
