Dropping by to say hello. Wanted to mention, we have added some tracks to the site from our June 4th recording at UMKC. Crossing my fingers in hopes you like them as they are not mastered, nor mixed, however are in rough format. Best, ~joe
thank you for the great show in hamburg! all of us were kinda overwhelmed by your songs, but also by your stage presence and the little intricacies in your music. before that show we didn't know that a chair could also be used to dance.
a friend of mine compared your music to having sex, well, she said, not quite but almost, as she had the feeling that she should smoke a cigaret after getting through a goose-pimpled version of "dress on fire".
we hope that you can cope with the substitute violin and heap loads of respect unto y'all, especially laurel, for the guts to play as if nothing had happened at all.
try to come back quite soon and don't forget the second record - what I mean is: record it. soon!
Enjoy you stuff! Thanks for becoming a Friend of Maple Wood Nature Preserve. We are working hard to add 7.3 acres of pristine forest to the preserve. Feel free to donate time, talent, money or goods to the project. Again thanks for caring about wild spaces!
Thanks for the add guys! It's not often that I'm quickly impressed with a random band, but I'm always welcome to it! I absolutely love your sound. It's very unique and the subject of your songs isn't what everyone else is doing. Which is great! :) I will buy the CD very soon!!

Your music helped me as I watched my mother slowly die of cancer. In the Pines was all I would listen to during this time, and as depressing as it all may seem it really lifted me up. This was last April. I would love to see you guys live. Hope you keep making music!
So I just saw a REALLY GREAT show last night in a garage, an honest-to-god public venue here called Ronny's, and it occured to me that if I could see a "perfect show" in my hometown, by chance, I'd want to see In The Pines play... with these two bands:
Jeff Harms (Chicago) and The Physics of Meaning (Chapel Hill).
Maybe you could let KC-dj-KL jam after. Maybe not. Davey's Uptown or Brick or Record Bar or Honig's Fahrenheit
Hey there. I just wanted to let you know that Too Much Rock posted up photos and video of your show on Friday July 20th, 2007 at Davey's Uptown Rambler in Kansas City, MO with The Belles, & The Caves. Find the goodies here:
