A recording label devoted to developing techno music and technology itself.
Inverted Light Source recordings was established in the mid 90s by qUE, and has since been a source of experimental music which has been broadcast on many large sound systems in the united kingdom. The collective consist of a group of highly creative people, experimenting and building new audio concepts and technologies in underground laboratories deep in the heart of rural england.
Inverted Light Source produces its unique sound on electronic equipment which would now be deemed as obsolete and incapable of running "modern" sequencing and audio software. But through hard work and perseverance the organisation has developed its own kit and pushed capabilities to extremes which not only limit electronics going to landfill but expand electronic music as well.
To book us for a live performance (UK only) or DJing Message or E-Mail
The reason for UK only live performances is that we use our studio kit and no laptops, so it's quite a bit to lug around. The 3ETAM system isn't complete yet, but once it is we can then consider live gigs abroad. Even then it probably won't be laptop based, we're a stickler for a fuller sound :)
(All of the music on this profile is completely MIDI edited on the fly btw)
Can't imagine a Techno entry in X-Factor soon and even if there was I've got a serious love/hate relationship with my music, I'd probably be the first out and cast back into the underground.
