In the tradition of bands like Dream Theater and Faith No More, Iris Divine creates music that is heavy, progressive and melodic, with a unique vision. With two lead singers to provide vocal hooks and harmonies, driving metal riffs, spacey melodic passages, and challenging odd-meters coexist to form the Iris Divine sound. The band has a dedicated work ethic to build a local fan base, organizing successful DIY shows targeted to fans of heavy and progressive music. Iris Divine is currently playing regional shows throughout 2009, bringing a live show that combines the raw energy of a metal band with the musicianship and melody of an artist with crossover potential.

"Iris Divine...really know how to mix prog and heavy metal with pop
music and alternative rock. This selftitled EP show us just a little
bit of their capabilities and musical talent. With strong and
soft/sweet vocals when needed, a very tight and powerful rhythm
section; the guitar solos are awesome in technique, melody and
structure, and the riffs are hard and contagious...from melancholy and
sweetness to rage and aggression. The vocal harmonies are very well
assembled...with hooks. GREAT JOB!!

There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

Navid, I am sitting here listening to 6:00 by Dream Theater and for some reason felt inclined to comment on your page! We ARE going to play shows together soon. I see you guys have been playing at Levi's. You no doubt have been hanging with some of my friends at those shows. They run Junkhouse Entertainment. Anyhow, we are about to release a couple songs and we are running our new bassist through the ropes so expect to see some shows being posted soon! We must hook up!
