About me:
I Think We Should See Other People is a zine based in Oakland, California, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Providence, Rhode Island. It is a story of intergenerational love, tofu scrambling, awkward flirting in used bookstores, and disillusionment with The New Yorker's cartoon caption contest. Our agenda is simple: promote good reading habits, fight ageism, discourage idiocity and assholism, laugh at everything, explore cultural phenomenon such as Chuck-E-Cheese, couples' yoga, pet massage, and Harry Potter, exploit meanness and apprehension, float sweet acronyms, experiment with grammar, and make and distribute 1" buttons with relentless zeal. Also: hold hands in public and in private.
Claire was born on September 12, 1986 and is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She writes poems and publishes poems and sometimes solicits poets for poems. She will begin her MFA in poetry at Brown University in September. She used to sell old books and write descriptions of old books for used-book databases to make money to buy good vegetables. She now has no money at all.
Jeff was born on January 19, 1973. He is from Oakland, California. and currently measures and draws buildings in and around New England and across the USA, when he is not reading and writing poems, talking to his cat, Brix Smith, or cooking with Claire. He listens to music most of the time. He's worked on magazines (most recently, Kitchen Sink) for most of his adult life, and is finally making a zine. He likes to fret about punctuation and use terms like "scare quotes." He's kind of an ocean.
As Hegel once said to Jesus: "Frown all you want; we'll be over here making out."
Who I'd like to meet:
Poets, Bob Dylan, Hegel, Frank O'Hara, Kim Gordon, intergenerational lovers such as Bill Callahan and Joanna Newsom, The New Yorker cartoon caption contest judges and interns, James Kochalka and Amy King, Morrissey, Thomas Pynchon, vegan bakers, people with friendly Midwest accents, Haruki Murakami, Gabrielle Bell, and los bros Hernandez. Also, we'd like to meet anyone interested in FREE (!) I Think We Should See Other People buttons! Have a look:
We stayed up super late on several nights making these. If you want one or two or three, drop a line to itwssop@gmail.com. Include your name and mailing address. Buttons will arrive, as they did for these good-looking folks:
PS. Copies of the zine will be available sooner than later. Feel free to e-mail and tell us to hurry up.

Dear ITWSSOP-
I'm having problems with an ageist in my life. I was wondering, do you have an material that I could use to combat this individual's ignorance?
Yours-
Living with an ageist.
Lucky for you I don't mind looking insanely constipated in your zine buttons-promo photo!!
"Light bondage, RANDOM PLACES."
