James Grande is a singer/songwriter based out of Rhode Island. His style is a combination of Weezer's catchy hooks and Dave Matthews' acoustic rhythms. His smooth vocals and harmonies are a direct reflection of his liking to The Beach Boys (the first band James had ever heard). ..At 21, he began funding and recording his own studio album, which was completed over a year and a half period. Currently James is pursuing a career in music, and his songs have been generating some buzz around the New England area. ..His live sets differ from the stereotypical "singer/songwriter's". James uses a loop pedal to create multiple sounds, effects, and vocals to make his performances much more dynamic. A direct influence of KT Tunstall, James sets himself apart from every other guy with a guitar. It is with great pleasure to announce the release of my new acoustic album "This Is Home" which is now in selected digital and itunes stores in Belgium, Germany, UK, Canada, USA and Mexico. The main themes of "This Is Home" is of love found, love lost, past and pressent relationships. Have been said that there are a few songs that are reminiscent of my childhood which I hope my boys will be able to see through my eyes.
What makes this album different from it's predecessors is that my guitar and voice were recorded simultaneously and by doing so this enabled us to keep the recordings spontaneous and intimate. Here is the first videoclip from the album. I hope you'll enjoy it and please do share it.
