IN LIFE
TASTE EVERYTHING ONCE
AND THEN
STEAL FROM THE BEST
YOU HAVE TO COMBINE THE BEST OF INGRIDIENTS
AND COOK THEM SLOW IN ORDER TO MAKE SOMETHING
THAT WILL TASTE GOOD AND LAST A LONG TIME
JUST WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A BAND THAT REFUSES TO DO THE SAME OLD STANDARD BLUES TUNES THAT EVERY OTHER BAND COVERS. IF YOU RECOGNIZE SOME OF THE COVERS IN THIS BAND THAN YOU REALLY ARE A BLUES FAN. IF YOU DONT. YOU WILL THINK YOU HAVE RUN IN TO THE MOST ORIGINAL BLUES YOU HAVE EVER HEARD.
****************** Sharing the stage with the giants of the would of Blues such as KOKO TAYLOR, LUCKY PETERSON, LARRY MCCRAY, ROBERT CRAY, THE HOLMES BROTHERS, THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS, NINE appearances at the MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BLUES FESTIVAL, and numerous festival appearances at blues festivals throughout the USA and abroad. These are the credits that make JASON STUART'S COBALT BLUE a force of REAL BLUES WITH A WHOLE LOTTA SOUL. This is the BAND that will give 110% at each performance, guaranteeing an exciting Blues experience for each and every member of the audience.
For over eighteen years, the unsung, unrecognized black sheep of Quad Cites Blues Scene. Playing original music and covers of some of the most unique blues songs around today, Jason Stuart's COBALT BLUE refuses
to be put to rest.
Starting out over twenty-two years ago as an eleven piece ensemble called Eiffel Tower. Jason Stuart brought together a collection of the best players in the Quad Cities to help start what has become a mainstay of the Quad City Music Scene, "The Mississippi Valley Blues Festival.
Realizing in an area this small that a band of this size could not sustain itself, Stuart took the rhythm section and molded it into COBALT BLUE.
In the never ending tour that has continued for over twenty-one years, some replacements have been made from the original lineup, due to health, addictions, relationships, and sometimes just plain stupidity. But the current lineup appears to be the right combination.
Jamsie "COSMO" Carvelli.
Born in Brooklyn N.Y. Cosmo was raised around the early DO WOP and R&B groups that flourished in NYC during the fifties. Combine this with over thirty years experience on a drum kit and the result is a flawless timepiece of rhythm and syncopation.
David "THE ADMIRAL OF THE IVORIES" Craft.
From right outside the windy city of Chicago, David trained from an early age to master the black and white jungle of the keyboard. Spending time in every situation a musician should be in attempting to gain master status. Playing in shows, country, rock, R&B, and church services, David has honed his skills to a keen sharpness flavored with soul and spice.
Jim "THE PUNCH" Pihl.
Starting out in Galesburg Illinois, two things sparked an interest to this young man. Music and fast cars, there is a combination made in heaven. Jim has played guitar in every kind of band imaginable. And there isn't much he doesn't know about anything with wheels. Picking up the Bass came naturally. Playing guitar for so many years, he took right to being part of the super tight rhythm section and punches out the bottom end with no hesitation.

Thanks for the request, Jason. I like it when bands don't do all standard sh*t. It gets soooo boring when everybody plays the same songs. Enjoyed the one's you have up. Best wishes. Let me know if you dig what we're doin'.
