JEFF LARSON, "NEW ANTIQUES" - Palo Alto Daily News
Northern California singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeff Larson, held in high esteem by peers, offers an outstanding new acoustic album. With a soothing voice, honest lyrics and engaging melodies, America's Gerry Beckley is featured on the Neil Young-esque opener "Hapless Sky." This album quietly commands attention. It will bring a reverential hush
Hey Jeff, I love the new songs, "Calling" and "Southern Girl" too. I'd love to hear some longer clips tho, or the whole song. Really sweet vocals & lyrics. Can't wait to pick up this album, hope it's released soon. It should be another gem.
I just wanted to say thanks for the download of Good Good Morning. I love it a lot. Your brief story about it made me smile. I wanted to mention there's also some interesting conversations of people going down the elevator from the gym. Cheers :)
Hey Jeff, great news about a new CD, looking forward to the new album whenever it'll be out. I love covers. And I love the St. Louis song too - it's sweet.
Happy New Year! We wish you a very happy and healthy year. We hope it's a year of peace and prosperity for all. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
How's it going? Congrat's on "ghosts of san miguel" being chosen best of 2008. I agree completely, I love that song! Sorry to bug you here, but just wondering if you were planning any shows or gigs at some time in the future? I hope. Please. Would really love to hear it live, and a live show.
We just got back from the annual FAR-West conference. You should consider going next year when it's in Irvine. Lots of really great music, jam sessions, etc. Good booking opportunities, too. www. far-west. org
Have we mentioned lately how much we love your music? We hope to see you again soon.
Hi Jeff, and it was great to see you onstage at the Marin show last month. It was a nice surprise. It looked like fun, and you added some sweet harmonies and vocals to a classic. Hope to hear that you'll do some more of that someday.
Just stopping by to say that I love Left of a Dream, this is another gem, I absolutely LOVE this CD. What a great album, real smooth & mellow, every song has a great sound. But I really wish "Wake Up" were longer. I wanted to hear more of it, and wish it were longer only 1.40 seconds. I kept thinking... it just has to be longer? Wish it were 3 or 4 minutes. If you have some free time, check out CD Baby sometime, I'm not a very good writer but I composed a few reviews. Thanks for another great album. Left Of a Dream rocks!
Hey Jeff, how's it going? Just wondering if you were planning any more live gigs/shows/dates at anytime in the future? I know you had a great gig about a year ago in the LA area. Anyway, just wondering here. And looking forward to hearing the new album soon too!
