Please tell me a really good rerason you voted against the constitution!?! I am so heart broken I sent you money and votes from friends and family still in Virginia and just can't understand why you would vote to further destroy our constitution by allowing unauthorized wiretapping by a man who can't remember ANYTHING you senators or Representatives ask him?? You and your fellow Dems that voted for that FISA (or lack of FISA) law make me wonder why I should even care anymore.

Thank you for the add, Senator. You are on my list of people that I would most like to meet, and I must agree with those who have commented earlier. You are the next logical choice for President!
Here's why: First, those of us who might vote Republican are NOT so fed up with the war in Iraq as we are with the greed and disdain the Republicans have for the working class. Our sons and daughters are putting their lives on the line for the security of our country; not so the wealthy can use the war to rob the houses of widows. Second, the Democratic options as stated earlier satisfy neither those who would normally vote for one or the other of the two major parties.
You, Senator, represent what this country so desperately needs; someone who will protect the interests of the less fortunate in this country while possessing the gumption to lead us in a time of war as only a Marine of your experience can do. Your understanding of the history of this country makes you uniquely qualified to lead her.
I admire your concern for the welfare of our military. Your position on immigration reform is balanced and fair. We need someone with common sense and honor, and the current field of choices does not provide what you bring to the table.
Senator, I believe that you have been Providentially groomed for a moment such as this. I admonish you, as a man of God, DO NOT ABDICATE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! We will support you.

Respectfully,
Jack B. Westbrook
Bedford, Texas

Senator Webb, please tell me you're considering throwing your hat into the ring for the 2008 election.

You're the only guy who could sway disgruntled Republicans who're on the fence.

You've got an incredible amount of integrity.

You're sharp, and I honestly believe you give a shit about the Middle Class.

You're a Washington insider who *really* knows something about defense planning.

You can't be "swift-boated". (I'd like to see someone try.)

You've served our country in the bravest way imaginable.

I don't want to vote for Hillary. I don't want to vote for Obama. I think you're the one.

PLEASE run!

Regardless of what you do, I just want you to know, that as a prospective high school history teacher I'm looking forward to assigning my students portions of Fields of Fire. I think that scene where one of the Marines (I forgot who) is watching the aftermath of ROK operations is very telling on a lot of levels.

Anyways. Good luck.
Your country needs you.

Senator, as my Sister used to live in Roanoke, just a stone's throw away from the campus, this hit really close to home. I still cannot believe it took place in such a peaceful community. I know the three states, in which I call home... The State of Texas, The State of Connecticut, and your fellow Commonwealthers in Pennsylvania, all of our hearts are with Virginia Tech and the Hokie families during this time of tragedy. May God Bless and keep you all during this difficult time.
