Greensboro, N.C.'s indie pioneers, joe fain, take art rock to its fringes of compositional intensity after a quiet divorce from image and pretension. Approached democratically and with versatile hands, the musicians of joe fain have patiently crafted a distinctive brand of rock and roll that is sonically potent and lush in interplay. A vision of intricate arrangement reinforces their sweeping and conflicted songwriting with technically adept yet sincere musicianship. The band's first full-length LP, "Tractors in Valhalla", was recorded in July of 2005 @ GWRR, mixed in February of 2006 @ Engine Studios, mastered in April of 2006 @ West West Side Music, and is currently in print. Forged in the institutions of dead-end education, tempered in working class frustration, rich in texture, our veiny cocks thrust onward.
