"Cross-section" is the new release from singer-songwriter John Brazile. It's a compilation of songs from his first three albums. From alt-rock to alt-country, the collection is literally a 'cross-section' of Brazile's work from 2004-2008.

The 24 year-old Massachusetts native's previous album, "Commencement," was peddled from Memphis to Vermont in 2008 and garnered favorable criticism from publications such as the Boston Globe and Sen Baltimore. One track, "Wheels of Progress" was featured on Boston station 92.5 The River's Homegrown Showcase.

Like his musical influences, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Jakob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, Brazile takes a long view with his music and career, working to build momentum one show at a time. This is the focus that is driving plans for the upcoming year. Repeat visits to east coast cities as well as parts of the south have been planned. A new record is also fully underway and planned for release in summer 2009.
