APOLOGIES for the radio silence during these past several weeks. Truth told - too much to do - so rather than talk about it - we just got on with DOING IT!
Happy to say - there's lots of good stuff to share so keep your eyes on this page! **we promise not to go away for too long**
a quick bit about JOHN CALE
John Cale's footprints are stamped all over the last four decades of musical history. Classical, Avant Garde, Post-Modern, Alternative, Proto-Punk, Noisy Sonic Experiments, Goth and even an occasional simple melody in 4/4 time! Through co-founding the Velvet Underground, the music he has made as a Solo Artist, and a mind-boggling array of collaborations, he has amassed a deserved reputation as a pioneering, deeply influential presence. Moreover, his horizons continue to extend nudging his music into invigoratingly fresh territory. He's worked as a producer, musician, arranger, writer on some of the most pivotal records in the rock canon - everything from Nico, The Stooges, Nick Drake, Patti Smith, Siouxsie And The Banshees to The Happy Mondays, Ambulance Ltd and LCD Soundsystem to name but a small fraction (there's even a Disco record, but that's for another time). At this point, Cale could be forgiven for kicking back but laurel resting isnt in the picture and the super-fit squash fanatic's energy levels are those of a man half his age; as is his antennae for the cutting edge in contemporary music. John Cale's current creative output keeps him forever teetering over the cutting edge. His footprints may be stamped all over the past - but unlike so many of his peers, his paths cleary extend into the future. Next chapter coming soon........
I loved your solo show in Melbourne. It was better than the "Fragments of a rainy season..." CD.I regret missing your "circus" tour of Oz with a full band. I hope you can find time to check out my music. I play 7 instruments. http://www.mp3.com.au/taariqhassan

A sweet thing, the friend vibe... There are so many present, and so many memories... You are a gold coin in the tattered pocket of mankind,s creativity... Thank you may man for being who you are... John Los Angeles
Hi John, I really enjoyed the songs on the site. I'm also a big Velvet Underground fan. I hope that you may find time to listen to some of my material. Best wishes. Will.
Hello John, For me Paris 1919 is a real masterpiece!! I often listen to it. By the way, I saw you play in Hamburg (Fabrik) a couple of years ago and it was a fantastic gig. Your lyrics and the music are never boring, but very interesting and versatile..... Best wishes from Hamburg! Friederike
Although it probably doesn't sound like it,you've been a tremendous influence to us all. Never thought when i first listened to my fathers copy of Velvet Underground that i'd be able to send you a message thanking you for the music back in the early 80's ! Hope you enjoy our psyche rock.
