Johnny Nightmare plays fast and violent no bullshit psychobilly. Dax Dragster brings you ass slappin' double bass madness and insane satanic screams while Butch The Knife and Bone the Beaters demonic guitar twang and sadistic drum attack opens the gates to hell.
The trio joined forces under the winter fullmoon sometime in 2006 and is now ready to make your ears bleed and your heart stop pumpin'. Look out for these three dead cowboys!
Winter 2006, Dax, Butch and Elving met up at a local bar and decided to form a band. From the beginning the intentions has been to play no bullshit psychobilly. No pop, no rock, no ska, no bullshitt - only psychobilly. We began to write and rehearse songs in a little cottage in the country. It was a freezing cold winter, so we had to play fast to keep warm. Soon a demo was recorded and sent to the record labels. In 2007 we signed with Crazy Love Records and shortly thereafter had our debut as a live act – supporting the American psychobilly legend The Quakes in Flensburg.
May 2008, the debut album "HERE'S JOHNNY" was released on crazy Love Records. Shortly thereafter Elving, the original drummer, was replaced by Bone the Beater. The album was supportet by a bunch of live shows in Denmark and Germany including: Psychomania Rumble 2, Barnyard Rumble, Gearbox You Fuckers, Zombie Youth Erfuhrt, Wild At Heart, Metal Magic Festival and so on...
January 2009, Johnny Nightmare and finnish Vulture Club join forces and release the split-EP "Johnny Vulture At Club Nightmare". The EP contains three brand new Johnny Nightmare songs: "Vultures Above - Hell Below", "Desert Craze" and "Dagger Love". The EP is available through Jungle Records and Crazy Love Records.
Winter 2008/2009, the band started rehearsing new material for the next full-lenght album, which will contain 14 haunting psychobilly anthems. In the Spring JN played their first shows in the UK and Finnland. Right now (summer 2009) the band is in studio finishing the album.
In the autumn 2009 JN Played shows in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. On the 26th of November Crazy Love Records released "Psychobilly Scarecrow" - the new album from the hellish trio. The album shows JN as an even faster, catchier and more demented psychobilly band!!!
No-Bullshit-Psychobilly!!!
