Bio:

.. I teach electric bass, upright bass, band classes, and one and one jam classes. I front a cool, and pretty successful Jam/Jazz/Roots Band called "The Pine Needles". I also back up fiddler's in Old Time Music on guitar and place high in acoustic contests on guitar and vocals. I play bass guitar with certain people if it feels right.... All depends on YOU, your skills, and your style. I am not that into going "overbass" if you know what I mean. While I have the chops to take a flashy solo and find it fun to do here and there, at this point, I like the way my bass fits into the deeper fabric of a tune with other musical voices. I play for the song. I also like to rock. I like to play roots, classical, and jazz upright bass. I hang out with my daughter, play old time music, go into open spaces, romance my girlfriend, read fantasy, and keep tortoises for hobbies. Pretty dorky, I know.
