Not unlike most plants and animals, Joshua has been making sound since he was born, maybe even since conception technically, who knows. He began organizing those sounds into rhythm and music during his high school years, then continued on to St. Francis Xavier University, Humber College, and the Banff Centre for the Arts where he studied very hard and practiced lots, learning all kinds of neat music tricks. Joshua currently lives in Toronto where he continues to make lots of different sounds; some quite musical, others not so much. He was lucky enough to receive an Ontario Arts Council Grant in 2007 and wrote the material for his debut album “One Window”. He’s writing some new music now, and playing with great artists like Valery Gore, Joshua Cockerill, The Outlanders, stop.die.resuscitate, Kate Rogers, Ronley Teper, Sarah Kurtis, Ainsley McNeaney, David Myles, Laura Barrett, and many others.
holy cow, I still have to get my copy of your record. But I came by for a sneak peak and you only have partial tracks. I dig that vibes line in....forget the song. it's mellow. vibes = hell yes.
holy poopflingers, is there ever a whole whack of new stuff to peep at my, uh, myspace. most importantly, a few tunes from my new record "tiny increments" have been loaded up, some new pix (there's one of an otter with a funny hat on saying "bad hair day" ROTFL), and well...please stop on by sometime and see for yourself! thanks!
I just wanted to invite you to check my video and vote if you've got it in your heart. I'm competing in a contest for a record deal with Universal Music Canada. I need as many votes, comments, ratings as possible. Even if not for me, I would like to encourage everyone to vote for someone... the grand prize is worth almost $60,000... that's enough to change anyone's life... especially a starving musician. So without further adieu, have a look and be well:
