As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Once every 50 years! You will be needing some make-up next time then - as would I! I liked the red shirt shot speaking personally and professionally - as I always do. Tuesday night Candlelite? There could be a song in that.
Hi John and Joan, lovely to see and hear you again on friday. Thank you for the song for Haylie, she was thrilled and is sending a message to you herself. See you soon x
Thanks for the CD John. Some cracking songs on it. See you Tuesday at the Candlelight Club I hope. I owe you a CD just as soon as I have wrestled this DAWS kit I have to the ground.
Every time that we listen & write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... something is healing inside...
When we share it with friends... something is healing all over...
Love can drive... in a simple way... everything
We are connected

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Estimada/o John Wrightson,
Hi John & Joan Thanks for last night, I really enjoyed the whole evening. What a great venue! and the sound was excellent, well done. Your new songs are stronger than ever, keep at it.
In case I don't mention it, all the best for next Wednesday, I'm working so can't make it. Didn't Bram and Roly do a good job of A Little Bit More ... almost as good as the original!
