Do you really want to write well? Read a decent book! As Jason of the Happy Bullets said, "We had good influences."

CMJ New Music Monthly number 130 with Sage Francis on the cover - see page 42 for the fabulous Red Monroe ad and a quote from meeeeee! And buy it for the comp CD with "Sin City Serenade"; the RM song was put on the CD by CMJ staff request, or so the rumor has it.

Who I'd like to meet: Local bands, creative people, artists in Texas. People who want to know more about the greatest little scene in Texas- Dallas/Ft.Worth/Denton! Who are my MySpace friends? Mostly, people and bands I've actually met and worked with. Bands I want to work with. You. For more music fun, go to myspace/highlandscafe and I will happily add you there, as well.
Thanks to all my world-wide visitors, especially all those in Scotland. ;-)
Trust me, I know what you mean. I pretty much can't attend shows unless I shoot them. I've been shooting concerts for so long, that I just feel weird not having a camera at one!
was that you at the show last night?!? I was so busy, I didn't really have time to talk much, and forget who all I even met with... it was all a blur. Hope you had a good time. I was slammed, but still really enjoyed the evening!!!
Greetings, Ms. KatieMac (if, indeed that is your real name), from the far southern hinterlands of Utah! (Is "hinterlands" a word? I thought it was until I typed it, but it looks goofy...)
I hope you are having a fabulous and productive day. I hope my articles did not suck too badly and were at least partially useable. I hope I do not end up living in a singlewide trailer if I move out here, but the chances of that happening appear to be pretty good. Lastly, if that does occur, I hope I do not bring tornados and Mother Nature's dislike for trailer homes with me here from Texas.
(I also hope my nasal passages acclimate soon to the utter lack of humidity in these parts, though I'll spare you the gory details.)
Have a nice day. Or at least kick some ass...
yer temporarily-expatriated Dallas pal
PS - Cell phone reception here sucks. Feel free to text if the urge strikes and I'll get it when I'm in Kanab-proper. :)
Your presence is humbly requested by us, The Mumbles for this. "Post parade bash a rama palooza type thing" at "The Dubliner" on "Sat March 15th" from 7 till midnight or so....Yeah, It will get ugly, yeah there will be those moments where you want to just look away, but hey, all the best stuff is kinda like that in retrospect. So, good, then it's settled. See you then. Love and Stuff, The Mumbles
This is maybe the largest underground music festival to ever happen in Dallas. Help spread the word. Go to the Stereo on strike blog for schedule and details on the artists.
Great to see you last night Katie! You are such a hip woman! I hope you have time to check out our first cover song- Good and Faithful Servant by the T.V. Personalities!
