My name is Kate and I write songs. I think that's pretty ordinary but sometimes I when I wake up and realize I'm sleeping on a futon in Tokyo, playing music for and with and with people who make me feel amazing, having unique experiences every day, and loving my life I realize that my life is pretty extraordinary. I have a hard head and a soft heart...my songs are like that too. I started making music as a child and I'll be making music till I'm gray. I've sung in front of dinosaur bones, supermarkets, seagulls, campfires, babies, grandmothers, kittens, winos, packed live houses, basements, high school graduates, tourists, policemen, environmentalists, family, lovers, friends and someday I hope to play for you.
