Aloha merry listeners! I am kayleigh morgan! another angst filled teenager residing in a little sticky-out-country called Wales.
I play guitar! (ooo could you tell?) sing and song write. I also dabble in playing Drums and a little bit of bass but I have no proof of that on here at the moment.
I hope you enjoy my songs, for they are my babies! and if you don't like my children then...why are you still here?
add me, comment me, hell, come and see me! I need some encouragement!
If you like what you hear you can purchase a copy of my Live EP for only £2! message me for details.
Unrequited
This song was recorded purely by me and I'm really proud of it, to be honest. the song itself I never thought was much but after recording it I changed my mind. It's about having a conversation with someone you have feelings for and debating in your head if you should tell them or not. this happens to me a LOT and well, I figured it did for most people.
Forget The Ex
All instrumentation on here is mine except for the drums, thats another one of Logic's magic drum loops. Recorded all by my lonesome as well. This song, as daft as it sounds, was based on real events. well, the first verse was...this song is a mixture between a warning about alcoholic teenage tomfoolery and an example of how being a good friend doesn't always seem like it. personally, I love this song. It actually happened to me but I thought I'd think of it as if it had happened to one of my friends and well, it gave a new perspective. enjoy!
Not The One
This again was all written performed and recorded by myself. this was an experiment mostly, getting used to my equipment. the song itself is about staying friends with someone your in love with when their in love with someone else. It's an...awkward song. that's all I can really say about it. it was partly based on a creative writing/small bit of prose I wrote which happened after a really, really odd night. the songs just odd lol
Get The Train :
This song is so much fun to play, really, you have no idea haha. This is what you sing when you literally want someone to dissapear from your life because they've caused so much emotional crap. This was recorded LIVE at the volts show. great site, check it out kids www.thevoltsshow.com
Song For A Rose:
This song is for Amber Rose (Hence the name) This song is quite honest, make of it what you want, I originally had the demo version of this up, but now I have a live recording of it from The Volts Show ( www.thevoltsshow.com ) which is a great online radio station that supports up n comming artists. basically, This songs for her and for anyone else who's been close to willingly throwing everything away just for one person.
British Winter (Demo):
This is one of my latest jumps into attempting to be a good song writer. it was recorded through the inbuilt mic on my mac book haha. 2007 was...a cock up on my part. I really made a mess of things, isolated myself from people and now that I'm comming out the other side of it I see that I've missed everything and now everyone is moving on and leaving me behind so this song was a sort of apology and sum up for the past year to everyone in my life.

Yeah! there's like a picky bit at the end, over the main chords. To me, thats a frickin' guitar solo. I don't think you realise how much I suck at the guitar lol Cx
Lyrics to new song - AWESOME. And I think the music is classic Kay material, though I think my favourite is Song for a Rose? If memory serves - nice soloing at the end though. Until later Cx
That's as much as I can come up with at the moment because I think I caught a cold or something off SOMEONE *hint hint* since atm I can't speak properly and am, well ill.
Still, anyway, song? Very clear and pretty, not to sure if it's one of your best though.
Hi Kayleigh, thanks for your support, it is much appreciated. Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo have their second album coming out in a couple of months. I think you might like it. It's called 'Despite the Snow' Keep an eye out, and all the best with your musical journey.
