The folklore of the theater, 'Du Grand Guignol', as a form of entertainment is a theater of horror, terror, and gore. That addicted Parisian theater goers for countless generations, it became the progenitor of all of the 'splatter' movies of today, i.e., Halloween ; Friday The 13th ; A Nightmare On Elm Street ; Scream ; Prom Night and Hellraiser ! The 'Grand Guignol', has theatrically influenced 'shock - rock - masters of the past, such as ; W.A.S.P. , KISS & Alice Cooper. Which have left an 'indelible' mark on, Artist 'Michael Kolar'. So much so that he 'immortalized' this Parisian shock theater in this piece entitled ; "KOLAR'S HORROR ROCK ~ PRESENTS ; THE GRANDE GUIGNOL" copyright 2002.
