Believe me my friends, There was once a time when people knew of their true form. The earth was one of three heavens for these gods we now call humans, a paradise for their souls and spiritual energies. When using these energies together the gods could create other worlds, even universes. But there was a demon among the Gods who wanted the earth and the power of its people to its self, the demon known as Dead Rabbit. Named for the fact that it was the only being on the planet that covered its self in shame with skins and flesh, the skins and flesh of rabbit. Dead Rabbit told the gods they were weak and full of sin, and were all destined to an eternal existence of pain and torture in a fiery hell. Dead Rabbit spoke of one true god and told the gods to bow down and beg for mercy. Filled with fear and sadness the Gods all did as the demon said until they had completely forgotten there true identities and all their powers were lost except three: To make love, to create life, and to create music.
Dead Rabbits is a two-piece garage band with a lot of soul. They have been together since January 2009 but their history goes back much further than that. Singer guitarist Joshua DeRosa and singer drummer Lucas Fuentes met during their freshmen year of high school. The boys played in bands together for years like The Corporate Slaves, The Wild Cards and Royal Family. From each musical experience the band grew and matured as artist. “Lucas and I have come to a point were we don’t have to explain how a song goes” says DeRosa “We know each others styles so well that writing songs is completely natural and virtually effortless.” Dead Rabbits is a raw and melodic musical experience with firm roots stemming from 60’s garage rock and the early blues. Dead Rabbits are creating quite a buzz on the indie scene across the country and will continue to grow as well as go against the mainstream musical brain washing that is so popular in todays music.
