Dutch independent label Enfant Terrible has just released a CD compilation called Radio Resistencia with an edition of 1000 copies, a cardboard gatefold sleeve, 12 page fold out booklet and a very cool mix of 18 bands from around different parts of the world. It’s like the perfect mixtape of dark and silently loud music your friend has recorded for you. And we, Kim Ki O, are also in this compilation with our newly recorded song “Mutsuzsunuz, Hepiniz” (Unhappy, You All Are)! We are so proud to be on this compilation which was prepared with great care and great love for music...

"kim ki o"s songs are self-written, self-played and self-sung in the name of self-pleasure and self-impulsion. The band's compendious lyrics are sung in Turkish on the simple but uncanny surface of the music. "kim ki o", which is -lamely enough- the Turkish expression for "who is that anyway", is a name chosen for its phonetic beauty. And it is pronounced as it reads. "kim ki o" likes to play with synthesizers and drum machines but does not like to involve computers in their music; prefers to do all the action live with the enthusiasm, tension and everything. They pre-record materials onto old-fashioned tapes and sample them from the tapes, etcetera... "kim ki o" is a band of 2, and is meant to stay as a band of 2, which is the only strict rule this collaboration seems to have as its chemistry calls. The 2 members of the gang are ex-highschool buddies, who have been out of contact for years. Now they are back,clasped together,creating together for good.
