About Kristoffer Nyströms Orkester

Kristoffer Nyströms Orkester (KNO) is a collaborative project between Peter Nyström (Megaptera/Negru Voda), Kristoffer Oustad (V:28) and Magnus Åslund (ex-Megaptera). It started out as a result of a post-gig improvisation between Nyström and Oustad the summer of 2005. Two full tracks were recorded at that session and the fundaments for a third was built. This material resultet in a three track promo, limited to 20 un-numbered copies, that was send to a selection labels and magazines. Malignant Records showed their interest in the project, and KNO signed with them for the release of their debut album, "brakeHEAD". "brakeHEAD" was released in the spring of 2006, and the feedback has been nothing but phenomenal. In 2007 KNO joined forces with Magnus Åslund.
