"Koo Koo Kanga Roo brings the noise! From students reaction here, I am convinced they should be at the top of every college campuses bucket list! We are super excited to get them back here right away this fall. Just imagine placing yourself in the shoes of a 6 year old, today is your birthday, and all your friends are over partying in a bouncy castle. This is what Koo Koo Kango Roo will create at your campus with your students, an energetic party that will make you feel like your 6 years old again! Seriously, do not sit and wait. Bring your students exactly what they deserve, a quality lesson in FUN!"
Paul Strommer, Late Night Kirby Manager, University of Minnesota Duluth
"Koo Koo Kanga Roo is.... um..... er..... I have no idea how to describe these guys with any sense of accuracy because you cannot describe a Koo Koo show, you have to live a Koo Koo show. I have seen these guys win over a pop rock crowd with their group participation dance antics, and I have seen them win over a punk crowd with the same goofy choreographed shenanigans. Their infectious music is simplistic, but in the way that appeals to everyone, from the metalhead to the Dave Matthews fan. I cannot wait to put these guys on a hardcore/screamo show and watch the bad haircuts bob in unison and dance like fools. Koo Koo Kanga Roo is the answer to liven up ANY event. Literally. Anything."

"Listen, I’m going to be honest with you. Koo Koo Kanga Roo? They aren’t even that good. The album, albeit free, would be considered low-budget for a Super Nintendo game and one of their songs is about a coyote that is also simultaneously their roadie. Weak Sauce, I'm talking watered down Tabasco."

"But here’s the thing about Koo Koo Kanga Roo, they’re having too much fun to care about any of that. Go to one show and you’ll realize that it isn’t about the quality of the music on the album or getting people to visit the myspace, all that matters is the act of performing, and making sure everyone is having fun in the process. Whether it’s through costume contests, cake-eating challenges or nothing but their pure, unbridled effervescence, nobody leaves a Koo Koo show without feeling a little happier than when they went in. They’re the TGI Friday’s guy who stands on top of the table and sings you Happy Birthday when it isn’t even your birthday and you just wanted the free birthday treat. They’re the old man at church who is so earnestly concerned about your life even though you’ve talked to him, like, twice. They’re Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty driving their Hudson at 200 mph because they’re just that excited about where they’re trying to go. They’re the forerunners in a Minneapolis music movement that is beginning to blur the line between concert and party. And everyone else just gets to watch and dance and sing along and have fun, but none of us more than them."
Scott Olstad, Time Magazine.com
By now many Minneapolitans have experienced that strange phenomenon that is Koo Koo Kanga Roo. The self-described “dance duo” sing-raps quirky songs that seem geared more toward the 5-10 age range than the 20-somethings that frequent their shows. It’s not all that hard to see why. Their music is easy to sing along to, there’s choreographed dance numbers, and members Bryan Atchison and Neil Olstad regularly talk to the crowd, keeping the focus on stage.-Cake in 15

It was sure fun sharing the stage with you two again--even if you hardly touched the stage in favor of performing down with the "people" on the dance floor. Way ta go and thanks fer that!
