Goddess: Hekate. She came to me in 2001 at Mabon. I was doing a ritual, and She appeared in the doorway of my apartment (a converted summer kitchen in a century home. My altar was the mantel of a giant, stone fireplace). She had loooong black hair with snakes twisting through it, pale skin, She looked middle aged and beautiful, with Her mouth gaping open, fangs bared, blood running out of it and pooling in a puddle at Her bare feet. I have since had an altar in Her honour everywhere I have lived, and have learned more about Her and myself every day.
God: Pan. He has been with me everyday since I began my Pagan path. I have a natural and comfortable relationship with Pan. He points out the simple joys in material things, as well as my mundane life. He also leads me in my romantic pursuits, and my interests in sex and living sensually.
Favourite Colour: Black and red, but I adore any saturated colour, like emerald green, burgundy or sapphire blue.
Gem/Stone: Amber, lapis lazuli, garnet, green onyx.
Specific witchy areas of interest: Divination, working with crystals, energy working, history, crafting.
Favourite words of wisdom: "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut."
-Ernest Hemingway
People you admire: Adrienne (Dragonfly Anu), WB Yeats, Rackham the Pirate Kitty, Dita Von Teese.
Things that make you laugh: Fashion, Rackham the Pirate Kitty, Grant (my witchy partner in life), the LC Girls.
The best thing about being pagan: Learning! That deep connection with the Divine and Nature.

Hekate, Hekate,
Lady of the Dark
I hearken to thee,
To thy arts!
Hekate, Enodia
Keeper of the Gateways,
I hearken to thee,
Lead me on my way.
Hekate, Kthonia,
Goddess of the Earth
Keeper of the Underworld,
Lady of rebirth!
Hekate, Soteira
Saviour of witches all,
Maiden of the torch to lead
Your children at night fall!
Hekate, Krokopeplos,
Saffron robed of the sky
Lady of the earth and sea,
Where the crossroads lie.
Hekate, Hekate,
Lady of the Dark
I hearken to thee,
To thy arts!

Shrine to Pan
I call to Thee
To play Thy pipes
To call Thy Nymphs
Be here this night!
I call to Thee
To dance and play
The Fauns and Sylvans
Shall light our way.
I call to Thee
Thy Temple so dim
I shall not call
Thee on my whim.
Pan of hoof
And Pan of horn
Fields and flowers
Of Thee I'm born.
I call to Thee
Oh Satyr sweet
I call to Thee
So we shall meet.

Shrine to Brigid
Brigid, o Lady of the Hearth,
Of Smithery, and word as art,
I call to You on this night
To bestow me with Thy sacred light.
Brigid, o Lady of the Wells
Of milkmaids, nuns and the ill,
I call to You on this Eve
And hear the voices of the Sidhe.
Brigid, o Lady of the Flame
Of healers, and bards who remain,
I call to You on this night
To light Thy holy flame so bright.

Memorial to Eros
(Grammy)
On Her Burial Day
Her smile was contagious,
Her laugh crude and loud,
Her eyes were the deepest brown,
Her hair a silver cloud.
A rose with thorns and many buds,
Named for the god of love.
She watches over us now--
An angel from the gods above,
She wants us to remember when,
To let the memories of good times stay.
She wants us to feel her here,
On her burial day.
Lavendar bouquets tied with ribbon,
Soft blankets in the spare room,
The smell of cooking in the kitchen,
Handing out candy corn in Halloween's gloom.
Christmas parades in Grimsby,
With paper bags of oranges and sweets,
Back at the house with hot tea
And pies made of mince meat.
She wants us to remember when,
To let the momories of good times stay.
She wants us to feel her here,
On her burial day.
My Craft name is Aelwyndaeira, which is a mixture of Welsh and Greek meaning "Knowledge of the Hearth". I've recently taken to spelling it "Aelwyn Daeira", since the long name is truly astonishing to people! *grin* You can call me Aelwyn. ;)
I am 28 years old, and recently diagnosed with Chronic Diffuse Pain Disorder, osteoarthritis, and degenerative disc disorder. The government calls DPD "Acute Fibromyalgia", meaning I have Fibro, but it's more severe than some cases.
I am on ODSP, and going back to school for Makeup Artistry and other aesthetics courses. It will take a few years, as I'm doing this part time, but eventually I want to work in the Makeup Artistry field (I hope to do high fashion, bridal and special effects).
I am a witch, a writer, a poet. I am interested in politics. I enjoy quiet nights with my man watching TV. I also enjoy attending Renaissance Festivals, Faery Festivals and Pirate Festivals. Dressing up is one thing I indulge in on a regular basis.
My life used to be full of all kinds of activity, but being in pain all the time has left me doing very little. I hope that all the steps I'm taking will get me back to what I do best---being very, very busy!
Enjoy your stay, check out my blogs (they are full of witchy information, and other nifty stuff), and leave a comment to let me know you were here!
