In the past ten years, Kriss Darang’s addiction to house music has seen him building a name for himself. His hard work and dedication has seen his career take shape and go from strength to strength. He has a creative and natural flair in the studio and a recognition for the astute selection of tunes he spins across the dance floors of the UK and abroad, this has resulted in more doors opening up for this deep, dark, techno inspired musician.
In 2006 Kriss became a Subliminal Records resident, playing alongside dance guru legends Erick Morillo, Harry Choo Choo Romero and Jose Nunez. This was also the year where Kriss showcased his first ever signed track ‘Twisted’ with Jnr J and released on Kinky Vinyl in June. A memorable year for Kriss to stay with him for a long time!
The following year in 2007, Kriss took his game to the next level and furthered his career and reputation by playing regularly for notorious club nights; Back to Basics both in Leeds & London and Bambossa Records. But more importantly for Kriss, his dream to set up and manage his own record label finally came true. This was his mark on the industry for one serious player!
Devore Recordings was born, a London label based with the aim in mind to discover and launch ground breaking new music from today and tomorrows talent that the UK has to offer; Jnr J, Harj, Mitch, Low Rider, Ben Dela Pena & Graeme Lloyd, Jager and Riot Radio are a few of the many outstanding producers showcased on the Devore brand. Still going strong and a successful independent label with eight release’s since February 2007!
And if this wasn’t enough, Kriss mixed the front cover CD for DJ Magazine in the same year on top of doing remixing duties for the Grid, Harry Choo Choo Romero, Catz and Kid Dub to name a few!
Now into 2008 and February was the birth of Devore Records parties, Kriss took his Devore brand to legendary club Ministry of Sound alongside Simon Dunmores ‘Defected Records’ and with Pete Tongs ‘Wonderland’ in May. Kriss also still remains a resident for Bambossa Records in London and regularly at Back2basics in Leeds playing with the elite of djs. This accolade has even taken him across the pond to U.S as a guest playing at the Miami Winter Music Conference for Subliminal and Bambossa at Cameo Club. There is no question he is one of the busiest and most demanding djs/producers with a schedule full of exciting and new projects. Keep an eye on Kriss Darang!
