About me:

ORDER BOOK

I'm Zach and I am an abolitionist.

A MESSAGE FROM ZACH: I DON'T VISIT MYSPACE. THIS IS A PAGE FOR THE CAMPAIGN I STARTED WHEN I WAS IN 7TH GRADE. THIS IS NOT MY PERSONAL MYSPACE PAGE. SO MUCH OF THE CONTENT FOUND ON MYSPACE IS INCONSISTENT WITH MY STANDARDS, SO I HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO VISIT THE SITE. I HAVE A GOOD (AND OLDER) FRIEND WHO MANAGES THE PAGE FOR ME. I DO TRY TO KEEP UP WITH FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK. I founded Loose Change to Loosen Chains because I felt a need to do something to bring freedom to the victims I was learning about. LC2LC is a group of students and emerging leaders who want to see the trade in human beings stopped. Modern-day slavery may be people working in brick kilns, rice mills, fishing villages or brothels.

Together we can make a difference. Let's abolish slavery!

I have looked into organizations working to fight slavery and have several I can recommend. They each take a little different approach, but are all worth your support. You can launch the LC2LC effort and send your contributions directly to them. See the list below in the Interest box.

The fight to end slavery is more than 200 years old -- that age isn't available through MySpace's profile selection. I really appreciate your support and encouragement. If we all work together we can make a difference.

If you want to launch LC2LC, send a message through this site, or on Facebook, and it will get to me. I can send you the tools to get started.

Who I'd like to meet:
William Wilberforce, Harriet Tubman, Thomas Clarkson, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Oladdah Equiano

Hey Zach. I met you at Winterfest and I signed up to get involved. I'm waiting for an email from you or someone close to you. I brought your campaign to my school and it turned into something major! I'm really excited & so are the kids working with me. So if I could get the organization's names that you donate your money to that would be great. :]

Hey Zach. I met you at Winterfest & don't worry, I know you don't know me. Your story really hit home to me & I brought it back to my school and the idea of helping out has turned into something very big! I was wondering if you could give me the info of how and who to give the money to, like which organizations. Thanks much!

Hey Zach, School just finished for the Christmas holidays, and am delighted to have some time free. This term I taught my 8th Grade about IJM and LC2LC and they are really up for doing something to raise awareness. Do let me know if you are in the UK; I know that as a school we'd love to have you visit if it were ever possible. 90 minutes from London...nice country surroundings...good tea... Anyway, I hope you are well, and that you and the family have a blessed Christmas. Lots of English affection, Roger.
