Passionate, progressive and worshipful are just a few adjectives to describe the band Leeland, and the heart behind its sophomore album, Opposite Way. Not only does the GRAMMY and four-time Dove Award nominated band live up to the buzz from Christian music’s most influential artists (including Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, Third Day, Chris Tomlin and Switchfoot to name a few), but the Baytown, Texas-bred five piece exceeds expectations through eleven gems of prayerful power, and life-changing substance.
“A major theme on our new album is to encourage our generation to live passionately for the Lord, even when it means going the ‘opposite way’ of the world,” muses front man Leeland Mooring, (also a respected songwriter outside of the band, who prominently contributed to Michael W. Smith’s recent album, Stand). “It’s OK to be different. It’s OK to ‘live out loud’ for God. Saw you guys Saturday at the HC in Anaheim. The pre-show was truly an amazing blessing. You guys did wonderful, and I was so pleased how many songs were done throughout the night! May God continue to bless your music.

last night was my first time at harvest and you guys truly made it amazing. you guys did such a good job that i begged my mom to let me go back tonight just so i could see you guys again. and she did and i was so dissapointed to find out that you guys only played 2 songs.
leeland your voice is truly a gift from god and you use it well. i love hearing you guys live and can't wait until you guys come back to so cal one day so i can go to your concert to hear you again.
