Come and see them Play !!
November 28th 1969 saw the release of the album “Let it Bleed” by the Rolling Stones. It was their 8th studio release. Exactly 34 years later, on the 28th of November 2003, Leech play their first live-show in Freiburg, Germany. The definite connection between the four experienced musicians is their love for hand crafted guitar music. By combining elements of seventies Rock with their typically dry desert sound, Leech invent Rock’n’Roll fit for the 21st Century.
After a series of gigs and smaller releases, recordings of the first long player “Impressions of a Mind’s Eye” start in summer 2005. March 2006 sees the release of the album throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Mad Noise Music. The ten tracks are consistently reviewed positively by critics. Amongst those are numerous national and international music portals such as daredevil records, Mentes des Acido or metal-inside.de.
Shortly after that Leech get the chance to contribute a song to the international compilation “Road To Nowhere” by L.A. Label Poison Tree Records. In addition Leech are enlisted in the rotation of Hard Rock Radio Live (USA), the biggest non commercial internet radio station, and various other national and international radio stations.
Having just finished the recordings to “Impressions of a Mind’s Eye”, founding member Phil aka “Pedro” left the band. Robo (vox/guitar), Andi (back-vox/guitar) and Sly (bass) replaced him with Dan, who since then completes the Leech line-up.
On their way through the clubs they shared the stage with bands like Truckfighters (SWE), Lord Bishop (USA), Surfoholics (AUT), The Kroisos (FIN) and Electro Baby, to name just a few.
Following a first trip across the border to play a show with Royal Bubble Orchestra (F) in Paris 2007, Leech extented their international experience in 2009 with shows in Poland together with InConfusion and The Kroisos.
At the moment the four Leech-Rockers are in the middle of the recordings for the awaited second album. If everything goes according to plan, 2009 will see the release of the album as well as a second tour...but you never know...
