About Le pré où je suis mort (download EP for free!)
C’est en 2006 que le groupe Le pré où je suis mort se voit formé de cinq musiciens, après un changement de chanteur et l’arrivée d’un second guitariste. Quatre morceaux sont alors composés. Ils seront enregistrés par Rémi dans sa chambre pendant l’été 2006. Peu après l’enregistrement, le bassiste d’alors décide de quitter le groupe et est vite remplacé. Le mixage, toujours effectué par Rémi, prend plus de temps que prévu et la sortie de l’EP doit être repoussée. Le groupe joue alors son premier concert, grâce au Kab de l’Usine, avec Forceed, Llorah et Omni II. Quelques autres suivront aux cotés de Sed non satiata, Requiem for sirens…L’EP en version cd sort enfin en décembre 2007 sur le label Ape must not kill ape et un concert organisé par Marianne (de ApeMNKApe) avec Rabbit theory dans une maison de Baden montre au groupe qu’il préfère les soirées dans des pièces éxigües aux grandes scènes. La version vinyl de l’EP est maintenant disponible en deux versions grâce aux labels Denovali (denovali.com), Communication is not words (comisnotwords.com) et In girum nocte (myspace.com/ingirumnocte). L’EP est aussi disponible gratuitement sur le site de Denovali (voir blog). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Le pré où je suis mort (meaning «the field where I died») was created in 2006 by five musicians, after a singer switch and the arrival of a second guitarist. Four songs are composed by the band and recorded by Rémi in his room during the summer of 2006. Soon after the recording, the bass player decides to leave the band and is replaced. The mixing, also done by Rémi, takes more time than it was supposed to so the release of the EP has to be postponed. The band then plays its first show, thanks to the Kab of l’Usine, with Forceed, Llorah and Omni II. Some others would follow next to Sed non satiata, Requiem for sirens…The cd version of the EP finally comes out in December of 2007 on Ape must not kill ape records. A show is organized by Marianne (from ApeMNKape) with Rabbit theory in a house in Baden which shows the band they prefer tiny venues to big concert halls. The vinyl version of the EP is now available thanks to Denovali records (denovali.com), Communication is not words (comisnotwords.com) and In girum nocte (myspace.com/ingirumnocte). Although the album was mastered in the much sought-after Tonteknik-Studio in Umeå, the regulary comparisons to Refused or early JR Ewing are less present, then genre bulks like Lack or Breach. Lights is an album designed for a cheerless winter, post-hardcore between aggression & depression.
