Musically too many! First its gotta be Liam Howlett, the man is a legend... Then i'd say... Joey Beltram, Dr.Dre, Marilyn Manson, Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Portishead, Trent Reznor, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, James Brown, Kool & The Gang, DJ Muggs, RZA, Sly & Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, Nirvana, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Richard Devine, Prefuse 73, Eric Sermon, DJ Premier, Brian Eno, Leftfield... theres more but that'll do for now... Drum & Bass Producers that influence me i'd say Kemal & Rob Data, Nico, Ed Rush & Optical, Dom & Roland, Origin Unknown & other early Ram... Tech Itch, Bad Company, Ryme Tyme, Matrix, Cause 4 Concern... that about covers it... Other than that Japanese films and Asian cinema in general, Anime, Horror films, anything sick or depraved :)
Also books, authors of choice are Clive Barker, Stephen King, Peter Straub, Hunter S Thompson...
..Lethal (real name Dan Franklin) found his introduction to producing with a Commodore Amiga and a copy of Octamed in the early 90s. Around the same time he got into mixing and started himself on what was to become his chosen path. Influenced by early Hardcore and Detroit Techno it shaped his style to a point that is evident in his music today. Around late ’96 the Tech-Step boom in Drum n Bass broke in a big way and Lethal found himself hooked on a genre that fitted his taste and attitude…
Around early ’99 after placing 3rd in a blatantly rigged! DJ competition he started playing out regularly at various parties and clubs including the infamous Club Labrynth. He also started playing on a few pirate stations and eventually found himself on Rude FM at the start of 2001.
During this time he also completed a Music Technology course and went on to set up his own studio for hire. Honing his engineering skills he moved his studio to Café Music in East London, it was here he fine tuned his abilities and his production methods. Working on projects from Rock and Pop through to R ‘n B, Hip Hop, Breaks, House, Techno and of course Drum n Bass.
Rude FM proved to be the break he was looking for in his career, through the station he not only raised his profile but eventually met a young upstart by the name of Khanage, who after a few conversations Lethal brought down the studio and a new partnership was formed.
They first got the attention of the Ohm Resistance outfit based in New York, USA. Label boss Submerged saw the punky attitude in the music and signed them up straight away… Five releases later and they’ve worked their way to prime priority on the Ohm Resistance roster.
Raiden then signed the pair to his Techno/DnB crossover label Offkey Recordings; coming at the sound from a different angle the tracks did the talking… and the dance-floor destruction.
Cut to present day and Lethal is now focusing on solo projects as well as setting up his own label. With releases forthcoming both solo and with Khanage as well as collaborations with other artists. He is DJing regularly worldwide and will happily tear up any club you choose to put him in… Keep tuned for the next episode...

A/Katharsys-Mute (Counterstrike remix) AA/Dub Elements-El Momento
12" vinyl & digital download
After a short spell behind bars, Sanchez is back out and up to no good again... In between 2 horse thefts he's managed to get his unwashed hands on some of the most sickening beats out there!
The mighty Counterstrike add an extra layer of dirt to Katharsys's already disgusting "Mute"... This tune packs enough punch to blow up any bank safe with its terrorizing drums and earth-shaking bassline. Alternatively you can also use it to wreak havoc at your local saloon/club!
On the flip, new-skool Spanish filth-mongers Dub Elements bring more madness than a barrel of Mezcal with "El Momento". Hard-hitting drumwork combined with a bassline that has more twists than a telenovela will ensure a collective frenzy whenever dropped!
Sanchez says:"Listening to this 3rd release makes me want to set fire to things, I'm that happy! Enjoy, putos!"
Available at all good record stores, release date: 11/05/2009
Obliterati returns with the 6th installation of their popular hard anthem Drum and Bass double packs. Walking the fine line between breakcore and Drum and Bass, the Obliterati label, sub label of Ohm Resistance, has been pushing down boundaries since 2003. The anti anthem Suicide Hotline from Obliterati 02, notorious for it's use of a real life suicide hotline phonecall recording made by the artists,
is remixed here in two different flavors with Temulent riding hard and dipping back into the tramen infused madness of the 90s, and Submerged interspersing the sounds and tempo of dubstep. In fact, tempo changes are a theme on the record, with Guerilla Recordings' Breaker remixing Underfoot and dropping the tempo to breaks and raising it back up in the center of the track. Greece's Throttler provides a scorching rave hit with the stab and amen filled To The Void, and Australian newcomer The Nameless going Hellraiser happy in Dirge. Closing the record is one of the most brilliant pieces of experimental Drum and Bass we've put to wax. Imaginary Forces shines in Jacob's Ladder.
