Lodge Doom is the project of Thomas von Wachenfeldt, guitarist in De Tveksamma and Eric Hellman, guitar player in Sunset Sinners, My Observer and former member of the vicious ensemble De Tveksamma. .... Lodge Doom is erected out of the mud of traditional music and strict counterpoint. It’s core is an acoustic instrumentation, raw nature with harmonies of dunkelheit. .... Lodge Doom explores the sonic possibilities with layers of crazed violins, guitars and chanting vocals. The tunes flirt wildly with the classical legacy, psychedelic rock and the Hammer Horror of the sixties. .... Lodge Doom is a friendly voice in the desert, the opium dreams of the madhouse, the crossroads of the gutter and carnival desires in dark alleyways. .. -

Lodge Doom is the musical project of Thomas von Wachenfeldt, skilled fiddler and scholar in the music sciences and guitar player in De Tveksamma, and Eric Hellman, published writer, guitar player in Sunset Sinners and also former member of the vicious ensemble De Tveksamma.
Lodge Doom is erected out of the will to create a unique form of contemporary and traditional dark music. The Lodge Doom experience is one of crazed violins, guitars and chanting vocals. The tunes flirt wildly with the classical legacy, psychedelic rock and the Hammer Horror of the sixties. The core of Lodge Doom is a rock oriented acoustic instrumentation with raw sounding gloomy harmonies.
Since the release of The Walpurgis Session EP, in the fall of ´08, Lodge Doom has been working with the production of the debut fullength album entitled Visions of Dunkelheit. There are ten recorded songs of visionary magnitude, ten friendly voices from the desert, ten opium dreams from the madhouse, at the crossroads of the gutter and carnival desires in dark alleyways.
