At first it sounds like songs you've been wanting to hear but couldn't find until right now. Later it sounds more like songs you want to hear again.
Before there was Americana or Alt.Country or Singer Songwriter or Roots Rock or any of the other record store bin labels of today; when new wave was crashing and hair bands were making video history, there was the LONESOME BROTHERS. Seven CD's full of original songs and thousands of gig miles later, there still is. From the lowliest bar in the tiniest town of Western Massachusetts to Town Hall in Manhattan and Newport RI the Lonesome Brothers put it down like it's supposed to be put down. Original, creative, pumping, swaying, digging, rocking, blues busting, curve making, straight shooting, no bullshit songs and solos. Sadly that song is really true. At one point there a few dozen ink jet on paper pictires of me at York CI in Niantic Ct, So I really am a pinup for woman in prison. It the same same place the book, Couldn't Keep It to Myself, Testimonies from Our Imprisoned Sisters by Wall Lamb was done. It was an Oprah book selection.
Steve Vieu ran into many problems and left the music business. Jim Pitoniak doesn't play too much. He's into the outdoors big time. He did stop over for a little jamming last week.
