I like writing about music. I am enjoying listen to and buy music or singles with B-sides and rarities, writing reviews about concerts and festivals I go to, news of bands which release new albums, and translating things about music from English into Spanish. But what I like the most is: meeting members of bands and if I am able to interview them, better still. It gives me the opportunity to find out more things about them, as well. Whether they are English, American, Spanish or whatever nationality they are, doesn't matter at all. And a dream came true.

My passion for music (English music) came from a long time ago. As far as I can remember, since I was a kid, I loved singing and dancing. At the age of nine my parents sent me to a summer camp in Spain where, an English teacher taught me how to sing "Yesterday" and the "Yellow Submarine" from The Beatles and "Every Breath you Take" from Police. Since then, I think music has become part of my life; it is like a drug for me. Music is my best company in my good and bad moments, during my ups and downs. When I was thirteen years old, was the first time I listened to "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from U2 in Cork (Ireland). Then the following year, a mate from class at school brought me some cassettes from The Cure and besides that fact, my eldest sister was fond of Depeche Mode, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Simple Mind... So I used to listen to that kind of music from the 80's. At the age of eighteen I went to my first big concert, it was Michael Jackson in Dublin, where I lived for a year studying. At that time, I also discovered Nirvana and I bought one of my first CDS: "Nevermind". And I started listening to Grunge music like Pearl Jam or Soundgarden.

I started reading magazines like NME, Melody Marker, Q magazine or Uncut, which I still read apart from checking out a lot of fanzines on Internet.

Because I love the English language I decided to study English at The University of Alicante. It was a perfect excuse to go abroad to study more English, and my favourite destination, apart from Ireland, was Scotland, Edinburgh. And at that time, the band which was deep in my heart was RADIOHEAD, and its album Pablo's Honey, one of my favourite bands. Moreover, the Manchester Sound (Joy Division, New order, The Smiths, Happy Mondays, Morrissey, Stone Roses ...) and Brit-pop were at their pick. My first Summer Indie Festival was there, in Scotland first edition of "T IN THE PARK" in 94 and in 95 I decided to go again to the second one. My greatest influences on me, came from that festival, where I discovered hundreds of new bands, from Primal Scream, Gun, Crowded house, to The Verve, Manic street Preachers, Blur, The Charlatans, Oasis, Supergrass, Gene, Paul Weller, Massive Attack, Bjork, Ash, Pulp, Teenage fan club....Then I went in 96 to Doctor Music Festival in Spain (Lleida) and legends of rock music played there: Lou Reed, Patty Smith, David Bowie,Iggy pop and other recent bands: Suede, Fun loving criminals, Black grape, Underworld ... In 97 I went to my first FIB Festival at Benicassim. Since then I only missed 2 Fibs (2004 and 2005). Last year I went to 4 Indie festivals in Spain....and lots of concerts around here. For me it's the best way to be updated to with the band, in a gig. So I am never going to get tired of music and going to gigs. The best moments of my life are always at concerts. Just me and the band....

I also studied on my Erasmus Socrates Interchange Programme at University of Bangor (North of Wales) close to Liverpool and Manchester. So my passion for England is really reflected because whenever I go to Britain I feel at home. I also listen to music from other countries, not just music from England or Scotland such as Franz Ferdinand or Belle and Sebastian. I also listen to some Spanish bands. Besides this kind of music, I am very fond of American bands, like Yeah, Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, The Killers, Strokes, Radio 4, Interpol, The Flaming Lips, BRMC, The Shins, or Canadian bands such Arcade Fire or The Dears and Swedish bands such as Kent or Radio Dept. ..and Australian bands such as The Presets and Cut Copy
