Hi! I'm Kaitee. I write songs and play a pink
5-string electric violin. I also play piano, viola,
and a little bass & guitar. I was born & raised
in a little town in upstate New York called
Loudonville, but I've also lived in Nashville,
London, Los Angeles, Vegas, & New York City.
I've traveled all over the world.
I've had a lot of crazy, not-so-normal
experiences; some good, some bad, and some
that people might not even believe are true.
I started writing songs in 2005 after randomly
meeting Matthew Bellamy of Muse at an LA
nightclub. I continued writing songs because
it's the only place I can be 100% honest.
Most of my songs start as poetry and come
from a sad, lonely place. But I find that there's
beauty in all types of emotion - especially the
extreme ones. I tend to gravitate toward
situations that induce intense emotional
responses. The highs and lows seem to be a
natural part of my brain chemistry. So I ride
them like waves. A fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants
go-with-the-flow type of girl, the soaring and
crashing are a part of my daily existence. So
I welcome it. I don't think I could survive any
other way.
At times I feel confined in a world with too
many human-made rules. I break a lot of
these rules. I take a lot of risks. I make
decisions based purely on my gut. I test a lot
of boundaries - in friendships, in love, in life,
in thought, mostly in an attempt to find what's
real (but sometimes just for a laugh). And in the
end, all these experiences, in one way or
another, become the ingredients of songs.
Sometimes there's just no better way (for me) to
express things.

"One of the most intriguing new bands on the horizon" -The Daily Freeman, NY
"Majestic and damn compelling! Lovethief by Lunic is brilliant right from first play... clever and quite magnificant" -Toxic Pete (UK)
"As contemporary as contemporary gets" -LA Music Awards
"Lunic makes the kind of free-spirited music most new indie bands can only dream about" -Underwurld Music Blog (UK)
"(Lovethief) grows on you... with each successive listen you get sucked into Page and band's underground world until you begin to wonder whether Lunic is derived from lunar and magic or lunar and manic. Give it ten listens and you are beyond caring. The music simply becomes part of your psyche." -RockandReprise.net
"An impenetrable front of melodic goodness." -SnobsMusic.net
"Ambitious and grand... highly affecting with spine-chilling harmonies" -ContactMusic.com
"Up-to-date alternative music that displays extreme adventurism" -St. Croix Music
"Lunic’s Lovethief is the perfect segue from mainstream rock to underground alt-punk. From here, go with It’s Blitz, and then Sleater-Kinney’s masterpiece The Woods" -CollegeNews.com
"Listen to Kaitee Page's dense, string-driven arrangements and her angelic yet dynamic voice and it's hard to believe it's only been three years since she launched her all-out assault on pedestrian Pop Rock armed with her piano, violin and hitherto unknown songwriting chops. What's not hard to believe is that she has been classically trained since the age of 8 and she's quite the globetrotter, originally from New York and currently based in Albany (via London, Los Angeles, Nashville, etc.). She must have sucked the musical soul from these locales via osmosis, and now she channels them through her incisive and gorgeously arranged songs." -Citybeat (Cincinnati, OH)
"Kaitee Page's music isn't quite as sweet her their name suggests. Dark, edgy alternative rock, it's dangerous and menacing throughout, shot through with bitter sarcasm and anger. It's a blend of heavy rock and folk, with Eastern European influences and a big debt to pay to Evanescence, so it almost goes without saying that it makes for interesting listening. The surprising tempo changes and sudden mood swings keep the listener on their toes, and the gorgeous string arrangements come close to usurping the lead vocals altogether. It's definitely not something that should be dismissed without a listen." -Subcity Radio
Wow. Thanks for the add. I listened to your guy's music and it's so beautiful. Not to mention, I put "Him" on my myspace profile song. I love all of your songs and I can really relate to your music. You have such a beautiful voice Kaitee Page. Do you guys play around Upstate NY much anymore? I'd love to see you guys play live. You guys have obviously gotten big so I don't know how much you play around here now.
