New Orleans singer/songwriter/composer, Lynn Drury, is currently touring Italy for the next few months and gaining exciting response from her live performances! Performing in duo with guitar player Roberto Luti (Livorno, Italy- New Orleans,LA) and also with a full band(Simone Luti, Bass Daniele Paoleti, drums). A "Live In Italy" duo cd (with Roberto Luti) is currently in the works and will be released in January 2009. It includes electric performances from the San Vito di Cadore "Blues & Soul" Festival and also the "Blues in Villa" Festival in Brugnera. Her latest studio recording and 219 Records release, "All You Need," recorded in 2006, has garnered impressive reviews. You should buy this record...it kicks ass! It combines her Delta Mississippi roots with the funkiness of the Big Easy. "All You Need" was the last record to be recorded at Delta Recording Studios in Clarksdale, MS before they had to tear it all down and move, with Jimbo Mathus(Squirrel Nut Zippers) engineering, producing and also playing guitar, Wurlitzer, dobro, and mandolin. And with the help of local luminaries Paul Taylor, drums; Justin Showah, bass; Bryan Ledford, accordion & banjo; and New Orleans pedal steel player, Dave Easley. This record finds her sound at home, laid back and sippin' on a little go-go juice.
